Drop in at your convenience and stay as long as you like! Explore a variety of Halloween-themed literacy centers that make learning about letters and sounds a thrilling adventure. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to stay and interact with their children at the centers.

Understanding Structured Literacy

Structured literacy is a systematic approach that emphasizes the explicit teaching of phoneme-grapheme connections, or the relationship between sounds and their corresponding letters or letter combinations. Effective instruction in phoneme-grapheme connections is crucial in early childhood, as it lays the foundation for strong reading and writing skills. By focusing on these connections, children develop essential skills in decoding and encoding words, which are fundamental for their future literacy success.
