Cider & Stories at Yates Family Orchard

Join Vermont Literacy Network for a cozy after-school event at Cider & Stories: a VLN "Sips & Stories" program! This session will be held at Yates Family Orchard in Hinesburg from 4:00 to 5:00 and is perfect for children ages 2-8, though all ages are welcome to enjoy the engaging reads of fall-themed children's books! This drop-in and open-ended program is ideal for families looking to celebrate the magic of autumn through literature and apple picking. We encourage families to explore the orchard after the event and take in the beautiful surroundings!

Yates Family Orchard

Established in 2008, Yates Family Orchard is nestled on Monkton Ridge in Vermont, where stunning views of the Adirondack and Bristol Valley captivated the Yates family. What began with a modest pick-your-own apple farm stand has grown into a thriving operation, offering 26 apple varieties, pears, plums, cherries, raspberries, and peaches. The orchard is known for its hot, made-to-order cider donuts, Kingdom Creamery creemees, and a selection of pies, baked goods, and local specialties.
