The Network Learning Community
The wonderful Margaret Mead once said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." The Network Learning Community was created on this philosophy. Join us in empowering educators, parents and caregivers, and community members through collaboration, resource sharing, and engagement with the latest literacy research. It is only together that we can make a difference.
What is "The Network"?
The Network is so much more than just a monthly meeting—it’s a growing community of parents, educators, and community members passionate about making real change together.
It’s a place where everyone - from grandmas to volunteer firefighters to your favorite local barista - can come together, support one another with ideas and resources, and unpack the latest updates in literacy education.
Here, every voice matters, and every connection brings us one step closer to creating a brighter, more literacy-rich future for all Vermonters.
We’re not just talking about change; we’re making it happen.
Mission & Goals
At The Network, our mission is simple: to bring together educators, parents, caregivers, and literacy advocates from all walks of life to transform literacy education. We’re dedicated to creating a warm, collaborative space where members can learn from each other, share resources, and engage with experts on best practices.

Our goal is to empower our members with strategies and resources that make a real difference in our communities. We’re committed to promoting ongoing learning and meaningful collaboration. Most importantly, we strive to give our members a voice in shaping the future of literacy education.
